I have a horse that has developed a terrible allergy to flies. I will have to use a feed through fly control product this summer.
I compost all my horse manure and use it in the garden. Does anyone know if this type of product will contaminate the manure/compost? Any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance,
Judy

For your Horse, I'd try the new feed from Muenster. As to using the manure, there should be no problem using it in compost. See the link below for additional info.

Maybe people knowledgeable about horses will provide additional NATURAL info. regarding the fly problem.

KHWOZ - Thanks for the response and the link.

I do keep my property naturally (8.5 acres) which is not easy. My mare developed this problem 2 summers ago. I have tried every natural and medical remedy possible for my mare but nothing has worked.

This year I have decided to go the "feed through" route even though it may not be the most natural. I'd rather give a little on my beliefs than have a bloody, oozy, itchy, swollen, pain riddled animal.

Thanks again,
Judy
