purchased a quart of bio inoculant + humus last spring to begin conditioning my nw louisiana very-compacted soil. used once at the time, but would like to reapply, having just mechanically aerated.

does this stuff have a shelf life? is there a way to test the viability of the organisms?

thanks for any help!

If it used to have microbes in it, they are long gone by now. There is probably nothing wrong with it IF it does not smell bad. If it smells bad, pour it into your compost pile and recycle.
