Green worms have eaten my new broccoli plants in first time veggie garden. Am I limited to just going out each day and picking any new dudes off and laying them to rest? Thanks for the advice and have a great day.

That's what I do. You can also dust your plants with DE and that may prevent some of them, and others from getting on the plant. I also surround my plants with a nice mound of pecan shell mulch. It's sharp and pprevents some insects from crossing.
