Is the cooler summer (and I'm guessing earlier fall) going to mess up the times for planting a fall garden? Are we already behind if we haven't gotten things in the ground already?

I'm just going ahead with Fall planting as usual, because it won't be any surprise if we get back up to normal August and Sept temps.

If it ever dries out enough I'm going to plant a few rows of red ripper peas and some greens. If the peas fail I'll still have some seed for spring.

I didn't know Louisiana ever dried out enough (grin). My husband is from a little town near Baton Rouge, so I'm basing this idea on what I've heard, lol.

I'm actually a transplant here in north LA, from MS. When it's wet it's really really wet, and we've had plenty this year... mostly from Texas so you probably understand that. Normally this time of year is bone dry and HOT. Not complaining as it's hellped a lot of our small trees to get established except those that were drowned. On one part of the place I've got 4-year old pines turning yellow.
