I'm buying some hay from a friend of mine and am sharing the info.
Tony M

This hay is transitional organic- 2 years completed. It has been heavily fertilized with chicken litter, molasses, compost tea, and overseeded legumes. All of the legumes are horse friendly. (Note that adverse affects in horses only occur when grazing fast growing wet green growth.)

The current cutting is in the barn in Winnsboro, Texas. Due to rains the cutting was past peak for the crimson clover, so the hay is not as good as I would have liked. There are lots of crimson clover seed heads, and the winter grasses were at their peak.

I would not consider this horse hay, but I must say my horses disagree with me- they are cleaning it up.

We have about 75 bales available at home, and 450 in the barn in Winnsboro.

This cutting the hay is $5.50 in the barn and $6.50 delivered in the general area along our route from Winnsboro to Denton. (You unload- my husband has a broken collar bone.)

Cuttings after this one will be coastal bermuda w/ a little bahia and I will have to verify the price. They should be cutting next week.
