I think we have Brown Patch fungus in our St Augustine grass and I have been trying to figure out what to do exactly. I have read 2 different treatments on dirtdoctor website. Can anyone clarify or give me a success story? Should I use the Alliance product with wheat bran, molasses, and corn meal or should I use corn meal with Garrett juice and garlic tea and baking soda? Thanks for any help.

I would use only the Alliance horticultural cornmeal in this instance. The combination product you referred to is more for soil amending and bed preparation. I mix it in with my fertilizer applications. If you have already applied fertilizer, you can soak the cornmeal in water and then spray the resulting milky liquid or simply hand spread it in the area you need to treat. Mixing it with Garrett juice, et al. will add to the effect and speed recovery.

Hope this helps!

And give the corn meal 3 weeks to work. The application rate for corn meal is 20 pounds of corn meal per 1,000 square feet of turf.
