I'm overcome with florida betony. I've been hand pulling and probably leaving tubers. Any ideas on how to rid large areas (20' X 50')? Solarization is not an option. Although, I have considered a thermo-nuclear detonation. Any magic fixes for yellow nutsedge? It's catching up with the florida betony. And I used to think pigweed was a problem!

Rent yourself a sod cutter or hire someone to do it. They are a bear to operate! Cut 2 inches or more into the ground and throw the evil stuff in the compost pile. We (TORC) will be doing some research on the effects of baking soda and potassium bicarbonate on the cursed vegetation, but until we figure out how much and so as not to throw the soil fettle into a vortex of ill health, you may want to wait on this one.
