Help!!
I have somehow got these little flat snails that may have came with some land scape plants.
The probelem is that there are thousands of them. They are collecting arornd my front door and all over the front of the house.
They are thick in my front yard now!
I have tried DTE while it was dry and hot this last summer. This did not work.
I tried some snail and slug bait that was another organic try.
These small flat snales will climb up on plants and eat and suck life out of plants and kill the plants.[/b]

I have a non-organic approach to killing snails. Salt. I'm not sure if potassium chloride works. If it does that might be better than sodium chloride or my next suggestion...

In England, as I understand it, the contents of snail killer is ammonium sulfate (a common 21-0-0 salty fertilizer). I used a lot of ammonium sulfate on my entire landscape in my pre organic life with excellent results against snails. I used it once and did not have another snail for at least 5 years. Back then a 50-pound bag of AS cost about $2, so I have a lifetime supply in the corner of the garage. Now when I see a snail, I use about one tablespoon worth in the general area of the snail(s) and that seems to work.
