I live out in the country and have seen small green worms with black heads falling from some of our trees. Can you tell me what they are and how do I get rid of them? Yesterday on my walk, I'm pretty sure I heard them munching... thank you.

Be sure you don't ever get rid of a wasp on your property. They are there to eat caterpillars.

In the past I've heard of a homemade remedy to get rid of these pests.
Something mixed with dish soap, etc. Even if I have to spray once a week this spring I'll do it. Can anyone help? thanks.

I live in the country and have a large number of Pin Oaks. I can hear these pest eating the leaves. How long will they be around, and will they damage or kill the trees? It does not sound like I can do much about them know. We are going to trim up the bottom branches of some of these trees this weekend, will it hurt the trees while to worms are active?
