Monthly Meeting of Denton Organic Society will be Wed, April 15, 7pm at the Denton Senior Center, 509 N. Bell Ave. The program on Beekeeping, covering the life of bees, how to keep bees, and the benefits of bees to our crops, will be given by Miss Nicole Pettibon, Texas state "Honey Queen," from McKinney. Nicole is a lovely young lady full of sweet information to share about bees. Collin County Beekeepers Association is a very active group of beekeepers and has a wonderful program to keep beekeeping alive by training teenagers to take up the hobby. You will be delighted by the knowledge and enthusiasm displayed by this young "Honey Queen." There will be locally-produced honey, bee pollen, and propolis available for purchase at the meeting.
