I have planted a desert willow from a 1-gallon container 2 months ago, and it is doing well and still blooming in the heat of July. What is the recommended organic fertilization and care program recommended for this wonderful tree? I don't want to lose it...

I have had several desert willows and they are very maintenance free. My latest purchase has purple flowers and is named "bubba". Seriously, that was on the printed tag from the nursery. If you planted the tree correctly you do not need to go through any extremes to keep this tree looking good. Any brand organic fertilizer, liquid or granular, will keep this tree going. Just follow their directions. Don't overwater but it does produce more flowers, longer if you do water. Have you seen any hummingbirds visiting the tree yet?

I haven't yet seen hummingbirds on my desert willow yet, probably because they have to infiltrate a legion of other birds feeding at a nearby bird feeder. But hopefully some brave, suicidal hummies will show up someday...
