Last weekend we had some pretty considerable precipitation in the Dallas area. Or at least we did in my backyard. As I've been doing a lot of work in the back the past few weeks, I've been pretty observant about what's been going on.

Later on Saturday morning -- after the rain had let up a bit -- I was working some more and noticed a wierd white foamy stuff emitting from the base of a couple of tree trunks where they meet the ground. One was in a spot where I'd pulled out a dead trunk from an otherwise live tree where I'd seen some termite infestation after I pulled the trunk, but the other tree (about 50' away) seems to be living fine and still had this odd foamy stuff coming from the ground?

Any idea what it is? Should I worry? Is there anything I need to do? Thanks in advance.
