First time user so pardon the repeat if this is one. My folks live in East TX and have several big ol Sweet gum trees that drop those prickly balls everywhere. Is there a way to "sterile" those trees? I thought I heard once that it was possible to rid those trees of their repeat bumper crops of balls, balls and more balls. That's their above ground issue! The other is the moles - oh my gosh have they got a highway to heaven going on in that yard. If my folks aren't sweeping balls they are steeping in holes. At 80 and 83 years they could do without both. Please send your best advice and thanks!
