depending where you are, now is coming close to the time to use the pre emergents to stop the new season of burrs... corn gluten meal is what the organic gardeners recommend... then,,, get your grass to grow in thick enough by pampering it so that it will choke off any burrs that have a chance... don't disturb the soil as that will only bring up the sees that are underground now...

You need to put down humate which is humic acid. Grass burrs will not grow in it. I completely got rid of the burrs after one season. When I put down humate, I mix it with cornmeal and molasses. It spreads easier and I can do the amendents all in one application instead of of three seperate applications.
