Does anyone know if morning glories are bad for chickens to eat?

I don't think so and I bet if they were the chickens wouldn't eat them. Besides chickens aren't really that interested in browsing. They mainly stick to bugs, grasses, and the occasional fruit or vegetable.

I have had chickens for three years. How long have you had yours? How many? Any roosters? Love the eggs and bug maintenance? Wonderful creatures aren't they.

Well the chickens aren't really MINE. I work at Warren Laboratories in Abbott and we have a bunch of chickens. I just wanted to grow a quick growing vine along the fence of the chicken house to cover it and I thought morning glory would be good, but I wasn't sure if it would be bad for the chickens. We've had the chickens since around May/June of last year. We have about 30 or so. Yes we have roosters. I think too many. I beleive we are going to be needing more chickens though, hens. We pick the eggs fresh every day and give them to our employees. They do a great job of eating the bugs. They are a blast to watch. I think I could sit outside all day and watch those silly chickens. We have guineas and ducks too.
