Dallas' Plan to Combat West Nile Virus

CITY OF DALLAS' TOXIC PLAN TO COMBAT WEST NILE VIRUS!

The City of Dallas has discovered two dead birds recently that tested positive for the West Nile Virus.  The first in Duncanville, the second in Pleasant Grove, and more recently in the Lake Highlands area.  Their immediate reaction is to spray the affected zipcodes in the evening hours with toxins so dangegerous that they recommend everyone stay inside, including pets and animals, and to cover all bird baths or fish ponds.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

The City has assured concerned callers that door hangers will be passed out 4 to 5 days prior to any spraying to all residences within the zipcodes affected.  These door hangers are to provide a phone number to the Mosquito Control Hotline.  You can call and leave a message with your address, including your zipcode and demand that your neighborhood be left off the spraying route.

Until natural organic solutions are provided - that is exactly what organic gardeners should do.  Email addresses to send complaints to will be posted as soon as they are made available by the city.

In the meantime -
