I wrote the Organic Manual originally in 1989 as a handout for a seminar I was giving to teach people in the business how to go organic. The group included garden center owners and employees, landscape contractors, city workers and other people in the industry. After the seminar, others started asking me for copies so the handout was turned into the paperback book that has gone through several iterations, edits and updates. This most recent form of the book is a joint venture with Mother Earth News and has just become available. Lots of new stuff, simplification of some recommendations and programs with more emphasis than ever on correct planting and management of trees. I hope you like it.
