Prune Roses Anytime

Jul 2017 · 1:40 · Howard Garrett

Roses can be pruned anytime there's a need, though late winter is ideal. Remove dead and damaged canes, thin growth, and crossing branches using sharp shears, cleaning between cuts with hydrogen peroxide. Old roses on their own roots need only light pruning for size and shape.
