Acorn Prediction
For the past 3-4 weeks, the acorn drop has sounded like hail… in short bursts… metal shop/office roof just is a loud reminder of the “drop”.
A mental calculation of the estimated pounds per tree of 5 lbs. X 110 Oak trees would estimate the acorn crop to be around 600 lbs, on the 1/2 acre… in a drought year.. but the site is under irrigation.
Squirrels will be fat this winter and no doubt will have large litters next spring!
