Evergreen – Sun to part shade

8″ – 12″ groundcover Spacing 12″


HABIT: Evergreen groundcover, spreads by runners; reddish fall color that lasts through winter. Sun or partial shade is best exposure. Moderate water and fertilization. Establishes fast if planted properly with mulch applied after planting.

CULTURE: Well-drained, well-prepared beds. Moderate water and fertilization requirements. Zones 4 – 9.

USES: Groundcover for large areas.

PROBLEMS: Scale occasionally.

NOTES: Avoid E. radicans and other larger-leafed varieties. Native to China.
